Active Adult Living is an online national directory of over 8, active adult 55+ communities and active living communities in the US and Canada. The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Assisted living communities are designed for adults who need help performing one or more of the activities of daily living (ADLs), which includes bathing, grooming, dressing, or a helping hand managing medications. Although these communities have staff on-site 24 hours a day, skilled medical care is not regularly provided to residents. (C) Information identifying a deceased vulnerable adult or a family member, guardian, or caretaker of a deceased vulnerable adult, or an alleged or suspected perpetrator of abuse or neglect upon a vulnerable adult may not be disclosed during a public meeting and information regarding the involvement of any agency with the deceased vulnerable.
Project Home Project Home, also known as the C.A.R.E. (Certified Adult Residential Environment) Program is a supportive housing program for persons with mental illness or other disabilities offering an adult foster family model of care that provides a stable, family-like living arrangement in the community. Project Home provides a more home-like and less costly alternative to nursing homes. Retirement Community and Facility Types Active Adult Communities include single-family homes, town homes, cluster homes, manufactured housing and multifamily housing.
